There can be several causes of neck pain and stiffness. There can be sudden acute pain due to sudden neck crick (facet-lock) or muscle spasm or chronic problems due to posture, work station set up or arthritic pain. You may feel clicking or grinding sensations in the neck, this can be due to restrictions, muscular tension or wear and tear.

Problems in the neck can sometimes cause pain, pins and needles or burning in the arm(s). This could be from a bulging disc, tight muscles or wear and tear in the spine. Your osteopath will do a through examination to determine the cause of any pins and needles.
